Purpose and Application

The artesian oil-water pumps of type 12НА-9×4(1,2,3,5,6) are designed for pumping and draining crude oil and petroleum products from underground reservoirs. They are suitable for media with the following properties:

  •  Density: up to 0.97×10³ kg/m³
  •  Kinematic viscosity: from 0.01×10⁻⁴ to 0.8×10⁻⁴ m²/s
  •  Solid particle size: up to 0.2 mm
  •  Maximum volume concentration of solids: 0.2%
  •  Fluid temperature range: from 258 K to 353 K (−15 °C to +80 °C)
  •  Viscosity for petroleum products: max. 4×10⁻⁴ m²/s

Pumps are manufactured for various climatic categories and placement classes per GOST 15150-69U1, U2, U3, UHL4, T2, T3, OM2, T5

According to GOST 27.003-90, these pumps, as part of the pump units, are classified as:

  •  General-purpose products
  •  Type 1 (recoverable items)

They are delivered in a general industrial explosion-proof configuration and are intended for use in hazardous (explosive and flammable) industries and installations.

 

Design

The pump consists of three main components:

  1. Pump section
  2. Discharge column
  3. Support stand

The electric motor is mounted on the support stand.
 Pump type: centrifugal, multistage, vertical, with axial fluid intake.

Pump Section:

  •  Comprises section casings and suction nozzle, connected via tie rods.
  •  Each section casing acts as a diffuser with guide vanes for axial flow.
  •  The suction nozzle has radial ribs to straighten incoming flow.
  •  Impellers are mounted on a vertical shaft via split conical sleeves.
  •  Impellers are hydraulically balanced to reduce axial loads via 10 mm relief holes in the rear disc.
  •  Slide bearings are located in each section and suction nozzle.
    • Lubricated by the pumped fluid
    • Bearing sleeves: Bronze
    • Shaft: Steel 30X13 (alternative materials available)
    • Hydraulic part: Cast iron

Shaft and Transmission:

  •  Intermediate shaft length varies depending on column length.
  •  Shaft segments are connected by threaded couplings with thread direction opposite to rotation (prevents unscrewing).
  •  Discharge elbow is integrated into the support stand for connecting discharge piping.

Shaft Seal:

  •  Options include:
    • Single mechanical seal
    • Gland packing (soft stuffing box)

  •  A – Pump unit (aggregated), semi-submersible artesian oil-water pump
  •  12 – Outer casing diameter divided by 25, in mm
  •  НА – Semi-submersible artesian oil-water pump
  •  (Е) – Explosion-proof/fire-safe version (blank if not applicable)
  •  9 – Specific speed of the pump (divided by 10)
  •  4 – Number of stages (impellers)
  •  а – First impeller trim (omitted if nominal diameter is used)
  •  05 – Number of transmission sections (immersion depth variant)
  •  В – Main material of pump parts:
    • В – Cast iron СЧ20 (GOST 1412-85)
    • A – Steel 20ГЛ (GOST 21357-87)
    • D – 20Х13Л (GOST 977-88)
