Purpose
Steam Piston pumps are designed to operate as saturated, and the superheated steam at temperatures up to 573 K (300 °C) in stationary and transport conditions for pumping oil and petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas, fresh water and sea water and other liquids similar with said density, viscosity, and reactivity with temperatures up to 673 K (400 °C) depending on the pump performance. Maximum mass concentration of solid particles in the pumped medium should not exceed 0.2%, and the maximum size of the solid particles - 0.2 mm.
Pumps provide stepless control of flow and pressure at the outlet of the pump in the range of 25 to 100% of the nominal value by varying the steam pressure at the pump inlet. Regulation within these ranges can be carried out as one of the parameters (flow and pressure) or both.
The design of the pumps are made of two types:
PDG - direct-acting two-piston, double-acting, horizontal;
PDV - direct-acting two-piston, double-acting, vertical.
By appointment pumps are manufactured in the following versions:
H - for dark oil with a kinematic viscosity of up 0,008h10-4 8x10-4 m2/s (0.008 to 8St) and a temperature from 273 K to 493 K (from 0 to 220 °C);
NS -shlamovy for dark oil with a kinematic viscosity of up 0,008h10-4 8x10-4 m2/s (0.008 to 8 Cm) and a temperature from 273 K to 493 K (from 0 to 220 °C) with a mass concentration of solid particles up to 2% and a maximum size of 8 mm;
NG - for oil with kinematic viscosity of 0,008h10-4 to 8x10-4 m2/s (0.008 to 8 Cm) and a temperature from 273 K to 673 K (from 0 to 400 °C); NGsh - slurry for oil with kinematic viscosity of 0,008h10-4 to 8x10-4 m2/s (0.008 to 8 Cm) and a temperature from 273 K to 673 K (from 0 to 400 °C) with a mass concentration of solid particles up to 2% and a maximum size of 8 mm;
G - for liquefied petroleum gas density from 480 to 700 kg / m3 at a temperature of 243 K do313 K (from minus 30 to plus 40 ° C);
X - for benzene products, coal tars and dark oil with a kinematic viscosity of up 0,008h10-4 8x10-4 m2/s (0.008 to 8 St) and temperatures up to 393 K (120 °C);
C - ship - to pump fresh water and sea water, black oil products, and other, similar to the above chemical activity with a kinematic viscosity of liquids 0,008h10-4 to 8x10-4 m2/s (from 0,008 to 8 CT) and with a temperature of 278 K to 393 K (5 to 120 °C) and feed pumps with more than 100 m3/h are used also for pumping fuel at a temperature from 273 K to 303 K (from 0 to 30 °C);
About - Common industrial - for pumping fresh water, black oil products, and other, similar to the above chemical activity with a kinematic viscosity of liquids 0,008h10-4 to 8x10-4 m2 / s (from 0,008 to 8 CT) and with a temperature of 278 K to 378 K (5 to 105 ° C).
The pumps are available in the following climatic versions:
H, Hm, NY, NGsh, D, X, Q - UHL4, T5;
C - UHL4 and for installation on ships and in the tropics OM5. Allowed to operate in the conditions of the placement category 2 and 3 at a temperature below minus 15 °C.
Explosion protection, reliability, smooth control of flow and pressure at the outlet, simplicity of design and service make this class of pumps indispensable in some industries.
PDG PDV pumps and especially good in cases where there is a cheap pair, there is no electric power or for any reason it cannot be applied (for example - under the terms of fire safety).
Design
The pump consists of two main parts: a steam and hydraulic. Steam is a part of the drive, the hydraulic part is the actual pump. It has one inlet and discharge valve, and feed pumps over 100 m3/h in each working chamber of the hydraulic cylinder to feed pumps 60 m3/h - two suction and two injection valve.
