Purpose
Piston-type electric pump units of the AN type are designed for pumping water (excluding potable and seawater) and neutral liquids with a kinematic viscosity ranging from 0.008×10^-4 to 8×10^-4 m²/s and temperatures from 258 K to 353 K (from -15 to +80 °C). Units can also be supplied in a version suitable for pumping liquids at temperatures up to 378 K (105 °C), as specified upon order. The maximum volumetric concentration of non-abrasive solid particles in the pumped medium is 0.2%, with a maximum particle size of 0.2 mm.
These units are used in feed and water treatment systems of low-capacity boiler plants.
Design
The unit consists of a quadruple-action double-piston pump and an electric motor. The pump has two main parts: the drive section and the hydraulic section. The drive section includes a belt and gear transmission. The hydraulic section includes two hydraulic cylinders and two valve boxes with suction and discharge ball valves. The unit is mounted on the baseplate of the drive section.
