Purpose
 The 20A-18x1(2,3,4,5,6) artesian centrifugal water pumps and units are designed for pumping and also draining water and other liquids that are non-aggressive to ferrous metals and rubber, containing no more than 0.1% mechanical impurities (by mass), from submerged reservoirs. The temperature of pumped water is up to 308 K (35 °C), and for other liquids from 233 K to 353 K (from minus 40 to plus 80 °C).

Design
 The pump units consist of an electric motor mounted on a support housing, a transmission part, and a pump part. The pump part is a vertical centrifugal pump with axial fluid inlet. The transmission part of pumps of type A is a shaft line with intermediate bearings that connects the pump to the electric motor and is installed inside the discharge pipeline. Structurally, the transmission part is made in sections. The shaft connection between transmission sections is a threaded coupling.
 The bearings of the pump and transmission parts are lubricated by the pumped liquid. The thrust bearings are lubricated with oil and are installed in the support housing.
 The shaft seals of the pumps are packing glands; upon customer request, mechanical (face) seals can be installed.

Performance parameters of the products in nominal operating mode when pumping liquid with density 1000 kg/m³ and temperature up to 303 K (up to 30 °C) and shaft rotation frequency of 1500 rpm and 1000 rpm must correspond to the data given in the table.
